Deputy Hotel Manager

Newrest is looking for a Deputy Hotel Manager in Angola, permanently on site where he represents Newrest image for our Customers, Clients and staff. He assists the Hotel Manager in all tasks and is fully in charge when the site manager is not present. With his team he must ensure that we satisfy our Customers through operational excellence, in line with Client expectations and in compliance with Contract. Manage hisr team to ensure they improve their skills. He/she knows and strictly implements Newrest quality operational standards.


  • Daily operations management in a top range environment : Hotel - 52 rooms, Restaurant, Entertainement  of guests
  • Implementation of company policies and procedures relating to Safety, Quality, Hygiene, Finance, HR
  • Achieve and maintain at all times Contract Compliance
  • Maintain excellent Client Relationships
  • Meet with client representative on site on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all client policies and procedures are implemented and where possible ensure that Newrest's own standard exceeds the clients expectations
  • Monitor purchases and logistics and ensure that issues related to this matter are communicated to the purchasing department
  • Ensure that all personnel perform to the highest possible levels, that their welfare and security are taken as a priority.
  • Identifying personnel for internal promotion and planning and where necessary training programmes to ensure staff reach the required standards
  • Identify key areas within the operation that can be improved thus enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Follow all applicable policies and procedures required for the  successful execution of the job.
  • Follow the HSE Policy and meet the requirements of the organization’s Management System which is compliant to international standards for Quality (ISO 9001), Food Safety (ISO 22000), Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001), and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
  • Cooperate with internal and external auditors.
  • Make recommendations for continual improvement and support improvement initiatives the company undertakes.

  • Self-motivated, independent and resourceful, honest and open in communication with strong leadership skills
  • Experience in hotel management 
  • Experience in Africa and/or remote sites
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality 
  • Fluent in French and English

CONTRACT : 1 year contract, extension 2 years more in case of success / position to be filled as soon as possible

LOCATION : Luanda, Angola

SALARY : depends on experience and profile
