Purchasing Administrator

Newrest is recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator for its new Inflight Catering activity in the United Kingdom.

Your mission will be to ensure the flow of office procedures and support manager’s by carrying out common office duties, in person, online, and via telephone. To provide excellent standards of service at all times to maximise client enjoyment of products and to ensure the site and its assets are safe and secure at all times.


  • Arrange meetings by scheduling appropriate meeting times, booking rooms, and planning refreshments.
  • Manage correspondence by answering emails and sorting mail.
  • Draft, format, and print relevant documents.
  • Maintains stock lists and orders office supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records for employee holiday requests.
  • Attends workshops and conferences when requested.
  • Interact with managers and carry out all work requests.
  • Set up, maintain and communicate an auditable purchasing process.
  • Send and receive requests for quotations.
  • Ensuring requests for quotations are actioned on time.
  • Input data and maintain departmental spreadsheets, providing quantifiable data for monthly reports and audits.
  • Maintain the supply base and improve relationships with suppliers, technical and production staff.
  • Generate material requirements and assist in the management of inventory.
  • Provide cover for supervisor/shift leader/manager as required.


  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an office environment (desirable).
  • Data entry skills, good numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Organisational skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Good team work skills.
  • The ability to be an effective ambassador for the organisation at all times.

CONTRACT: Permanent contract - Starting date as soon as possible

LOCATION: Position located in Colnbrook Heathrow

SALARY: Depending on experience and profile
