Maintenance Engineer

Newrest is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support its activities in United Kingdom.

Job Summary :

Responsible for undertaking scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment or plants.   To provide excellent standards of service at all times to maximise client enjoyment of products and to ensure the site and its assets are safe and secure at all times.


  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance
  • Creating maintenance procedures
  • Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, repair equipment and or contact contractor
  • Fitting new parts and carrying out follow up quality inspections
  • Obtain specialist components, fixtures or fittings and arrange installation
  • Forecast and manage budgets
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Keep all managers informed of progress
  • Be prepared to be on-call' work particularly where equipment is in continual 24-hour operation

Skills and Knowledge :

  • Minimum 1 years’ maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer centred approach to service delivery
  • Good numeracy
  • Good team work skills
  • Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, requirements and any other training as specified by your manager
  • Self-motivation, commitment and enthusiasm and the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • The ability to be an effective ambassador for the organisation at all times and whilst wearing uniform off duty
